One sunny, bright day, Samantha, Laiba and Sara woke up and forced themselves to get dressed rapidly, because they were going to meet up in the park and then obtain some colourful and cheerful loom bands. They always meet up in a park and buy entertaining things, to have fun. Laiba, Samantha and Sara adore using shimmery, glittery loom bands. It’s their favourite. So when they entered the shop, they asked for some loom bands. “Hi, do you have any loom bands?” Yes, here, but i’m afraid it’s the last one!” They agreed to buy it and share it in the park and make friendship bracelets.

    Dear Sara
This is a good response to this week’s 100 Word Challenge. You have used the prompt well. I’m wondering from your post whether loom bands are as popular in Manchester as they are in Australia; they are everywhere. I’d like to find out some of the other things that Samanatha, Laiba and Sara get up to for entertainment. Maybe you can write about that in your next story. To improve your writing, one thing that you can do is to make sure that you keep to the same tense.
    Keep up the good writing.

    Hi there, Sara!

Loom bands are taking over the world it would seem! I was on residential last week and I have some that the children made for me!

I really liked the way that you tried really hard to include lots of adjectives and adverbs in your writing. You also used speech, just as Mrs Skinner had suggested,

I’m glad that the girls in your story got on well enough to share the last bag of bands!

Well done, keep up the good work and have a lovely summer 🙂
